Thank you to everyone who continues to support this call to action to have Mr. Michael Smurro removed from Neptune Middle School. We've blown past our latest goal of 2500 signatures and news of our petition has been shared in Philly Voice and Freehold Patch!
On Monday we delivered letters of demand and comments from this petition to officials overseeing this situation. These letters were delivered to Dr. Tami Crader, Superintendent of Schools for Neptune NJ, Dr. Rogo, Principal of Neptune Middle School, Mr. Smurro himself and finally, in Trenton, Dr. Allen-McMillan, Commissioner of NJ's Department of Education.
We only received a response from Dr. Crader which simply reiterated her statement to the public. Our letter had already asserted that this statement is not adequate.
