Petition updatePlagiarism is not a 'standard practice': the case of Christian Adendorff
Controversial NMU professor steps down after plagiarism scandal
Concerned Nelson Mandela University staff, students and alumni
12.11.2020
Plagiarist Christian Adendorff is not part of Nelson Mandela University any more.
Thank you all who signed this petition, which was shared with Nelson Mandela University management on 20 October 2020.
Next, we hope that the Ngqushwa Municipality will go after Adendorff to recover R600,000 he was paid to write a policy document in 2017, which he blatantly plagiarised. He told the Daily Dispatch that plagiarising policy document was a 'standard practice'.
In addition, we expect that the South African Presidency will remove Adendorff from the Presidential Commission on the Forth Industrial Revolution. As of 12 November 2020, he is still listed as one of the commissioners on the Commission's website.
