Good evening everyone, we have only three days left until the Wednesday, February 15th love campaign! We’ve ramped up activity on the Facebook page and Instagram account (info below). So, sign up to both of them so you can stay up to date on the latest info. Before we hit full go mode tomorrow, I would just like to quickly reiterate why participating in the February 15th event is important and why, quite frankly, any of this is important. Well, if you and I had just heard the news that Booksellers was closing and thought “wow, that’s really sad” and then proceeded to move on with our lives without a second thought, the story of Booksellers would have been lost in the crazy world of never-ending news cycles. This would most likely have resulted in a loss of interest regarding Booksellers and probably the eventual permanent loss of our beloved store; however… We didn’t just sit there and think “wow, that’s really sad.” We said “this is unacceptable and we won’t allow this to happen.” This is what led me to start this petition and ultimately what led you to sign this petition. We cannot give up hope now because keeping the story of Booksellers relevant and in the news is THE absolute most important thing we can do to support Booksellers. This is why the potential success of the Show Your Love for Booksellers campaign on February 15th is vital to relevance of Booksellers in general. If we can manage to get a big turnout online, then we can manage to keep this momentum going, and momentum is what any movement rests on. If the momentum is lost, then so is the movement.
