Good morning Booksellers’ fans and book lovers alike, as I’ve said before, this week I’ll be sharing with you the several aspects of our upcoming love campaign for Booksellers. Today, I’d like to share with you more details about the website that I’ve started working on and will have up before February 15th. By the way, if you donate to the GoFundMe campaign you will have an exclusive preview of the website and the ability to be one of the first people to post a message during the love campaign: https://www.gofundme.com/booksellerspetition. From now on, I will be replacing the “Upcoming at Booksellers” section at the bottom of this post with new information about the February 15th in case you don’t have time to read my whole posts. Also, happy (or sad depending on who you were rooting for) post-Super Bowl Sunday Day. What a game!
What’s the point of getting a new website? Well, the new website will have an official domain name (website address) that will make it a whole lot easier to find. Additionally, part of the GoFundMe donations will pay for the Wix website designer platform, which will essentially allow me to make a really cool looking website. I’ve had a little bit of experience designing websites and I plan on making this website my best one yet. If you want to check out some of the other websites I’ve made for local Memphis businesses and organizations to see what you should expect, look at these links:

Most importantly, the new website will be able to handle the high level of internet traffic we are expecting to affect the website on February 15th. As for what the website will contain, it will contain a page for the petition, an interactive message page for everyone to post their own message, PLUS a special news page where we will be covering the news coverage of our event and posting personal messages from other local bookstores, authors, and local community leaders. If you happen to be one of those the three things, send me an email at savebooksellers@gmail.com and I can tell you how you can participate.
Remember-I will emphasize this a lot this week-HAVE HOPE. This story is nowhere near over yet, especially if I have anything (and I do) to say about. Let’s show Memphis what Booksellers really means to our community!
February 15th Event Info
GoFundMe Update: $430 out of $1200 raised-This is enough money to get several thousand flyers printed and a new, professional website up; however, I would still like to raise some money to help fund a social media campaign to spread the word about the February 15th event. What do you get if you donate…
Illustrator ($10)-Get a personal thank you letter from me and be listed at the "Illustrator" level on the new website.
Amateur Author ($30)-Get a personal thank you card, be listed at the "Amateur Author" on the new website, AND get a digital copy of the full petition once it is officially closed.
Master Novelist ($50)-Get everything else listed in the previous levels PLUS a personal thank you call from me
Book Hugger ($100)-Get everything else listed in the previous levels PLUS a printed copy of the petition and the associated comments AND a limited edition bumper sticker.
