Thank you all for your continuous support! Our calls for justice have given us a medium to express our concerns and trauma regarding the mental health of current and former athletes within the UCR Women's Basketball Program, John Margaritis, and the firing of Coach Giuliana Mendiola. Please read the attached article with caution and empathy. The amount of trauma that the players in the article went through is truly disgusting and we want to thank them for their courage to share their stories with all of us. A special thank you to Johnathan Hernandez for capturing the emotion and extent of the testimonies shared by former players. There are many more stories just like the ones within the article and former players are speaking up one by one and day by day. We ask you all to stand with us and try to understand the negative impact that staff, players, and anyone associated with the Women's Basketball Program have had to endure under they reign of John Margaritas.
