We the undersigned request that Hoke County and/or NCDOT address the public safety issues of the intersection of Camp Rockfish Rd, Davis Bridge Rd, and Arabia Rd., as well as give serious consideration to maintaining the public access segment of Camp Rockfish Rd. from Davis Bridge Rd to the entrance of Camp Rockfish.

Regarding the above described intersection, due to significant traffic use, the awkward angle at which Arabia Rd. enters the intersection, the dangerous speeds many drivers travel in both directions on Davis Bridge Rd., and the deteriorating surface of Camp Rockfish Rd., the intersection is a driving hazard and a threat to public safety.  We request the following:

1) An assessment be made of the traffic use and flow of both the intersection and Camp Rockfish Rd. (Especially during peak hours)

2) A consideration be made for a 4-way stop or a traffic light.

3) The entrance of Arabia Rd. into the intersection be made into a 90 degrees approach.

4) The entrance of Camp Rockfish Rd. be paved and maintained a minimum of 50 feet back from the intersection.
