I have just received an email from Allstate Insurance of which the most important piece reads: "We appreciate the comments you provided regarding our television advertising during the show Shark Hunters. We confirmed that we did purchase advertising on NBC which includes commercials across all of their programming. Unfortunately, we are not able to review the content of every show on each network we purchase. It recently came to our attention that our commercials were airing during Shark Hunters, which some consumers have found offensive. As a result, we have pulled our advertising from this program. Please know that it was not our intent to offend anyone, and we apologize if you found the show’s content offensive. We hope that in the future you will find our advertising messages both informative and appealing.
