Petition updateNBC: Cancel The Apprentice, Miss USA and Miss UniverseWill You Join Me in New York City?

It is time to talk the talk and walk the walk (literally)! Our signatures were delivered to NBC on Wednesday and they ignored us. They have not even commented or responded on several attempts by Latino organizations to reach them. This is not about Trump anymore. In June, many organizations cut ties with him and said no to hate. Trump lost hundreds of millions of dollars and even had to sell the Miss Universe organization at a wholesale price. We did win. Yet, NBC decided to go back on their word because of their ratings and advertisements. This is unacceptable. For one, they are turning their backs on us and for another, they are giving hate a platform of an audience of potentially millions of people. Worst of all, they are not keeping their word. Politicians such as Rep. Linda Sanchez, Rep. Luis Gutiérrez, and many others along with celebrities that include John Leguizamo, Alejandro González Iñárritu, Diego Luna, and over half a million people have denounced Trump’s appearance on Saturday Night Live. If you are in New York City or have a way to travel there, please join us in the Marcha to Stop Hate! Saturday, Nov. 7th at 6:00 p.m. Trump Tower 725 5th Ave to NBC Rock You can RSVP at www.lulac.org/bastatrump or call 212-233-8955. We need to show NBC and Trump that we are serious and we will not stand for more hate towards the Latino community! Thanks to LULAC, Hispanic Federation, LCLAA and Make the Road New York for making this happen and NHFA for all your support with this petition. We are not done. They will hear our voice even if they don’t want to! Please share.
