I have been touched by the Help Welfare Organisation and Sunny Jamil who have been trying to free Kaavan the elephant at Marghazar Zoo, Islamabad. But despite a ruling in their favour recently Kaavan is still living in appalling conditions at this terrible zoo. During this social media campaign it has become apparent that Kaavan's keeper Mahawaat Bilal is unkind, lazy, greedy, uncaring, obstructive and seems able to do what he wants in not looking after Kaavan properly. It has also become apparent that other animals in this zoo live in appalling, unacceptable conditions. In the 21st century we all should know better. In particular a female bear weaving back and forward constantly with no pool and a crocodile living in a small cage with no water to swim in. What is wanted is for Kaavan to go immediately to an elephant sanctuary and for the other animals to have vastly improved conditions with access to proper food and ponds. It is also sadly necessary to SACK Bilal, Kaavan's keeper, who thinks he is above the law. Please help by signing this petition. Thank you.
