Philippines is the worst plastic polluter of oceans. There has been a clean-up campaign held by Greenpeace organization Philippines on Manila bay this march 2018.They recovered more that 54,200 pieces of plastics waste such as bottles , straws and bags.
Plastic is the number one material that is used for packagiong and carrying materials that contributes on water and air pollution. This prevailing issue should be solved. We, filipinos, should make a change in our own way of living by practicing a life without plastics ang making this as a habit to save our environment.Through this simple step, we can make a change that everyone can benefit.
This are some of the ways to reduce the usage of plastics:
- Give up bottled water.
- Carry reusable shopping bags.
- Carry your own containers for take out food and leftovers.
