According to Meg Linehan of the Athletic, "2021 might be a little early to make this move, but with Angel City FC already locked in for 2022, plus the general expectation that another expansion team will join them that year, the playoffs should then include half of the league’s teams."

If we can get Atlanta to join the NWSL in 2022, along with Angel City FC, this would be great not only for soccer in Atlanta, but also for the league.
