UPDATE: Taylor Family's $90M+ Luck in gaining Govt Grants..           Have included a breakdown in the attached write up about grants approved & given to organisations that AngusTaylor's family have been/are involved in. Quite a LONG list - they must be VERY skilled at writing Grant Applications! Worthwhile of a check by a future National Integrity Commission I think - just to make sure everything is above board as it DOES seem an incredible amount of coincidence that so many grants have gone to associates of ONE family..
About petition promotions.. With my previous petition about Clive Palmer's use of money that should have gone to his workers - I took the donation option off - but I haven't this time.
I was naive enough to believe that signing & sharing was enough - but it isn't.. Change needs to make a profit. But if you do decide to 'donate to promote' please only donate SMALL amounts!
I have always been happy to donate to start things off because I wouldn't bother DOING this if I didn't feel STRONGLY & want to TRY to make a DIFFERENCE! But although by donating $100 like I did - might reach a LOT more people - it takes WEEKS for this to happen (their words) whereas smaller numbers of petition shares - get rolled out quickly.
I guess it makes sense because the MORE people they get interacting with their site - the more they are likely to make - as people may then donate for more than one petition. So from THEIR perspective 100 people donating $3 is better than 3 people donating $100..
So there you go! So if you'd LIKE to donate a small amount PLEASE DO - but don't give large amounts. $4 once a week for 10 weeks is better for the rapid promotion of the petition - than a $40 once off donation..
