Hello All, #ChronicPainisNotNICE

We had a Productive Second Committee Meeting.

Thank you very much, Victoria Maxted & Siva Balaratnam, for your support and hard work!

Moira and MaryAnn Monaghan were not able to attend but they both kindly emailed asking how they can help this month. Thank you both for your support.

Victoria, Siva, and I discussed the following:

·         The Positive Developments including the MP’s who have sent the campaign evidence and information to the Department of Health and Social Care (Government Department).

·         The New Petition https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/596304 including the deadline and how many signatures are needed.

·         Editing the letter to a possible Medical Advisor for the campaign.

·         Social Media - reaching out to others especially Chronic Pain Patients.

·         The monthly meetings will change to a drop-in meeting with a less strict agenda to hopefully make it more appealing to future and current members.

·         Review of last month's tasks & setting this month’s tasks.

·         I will be learning how to write an effective press realise to hopefully engage the Media with the Campaign/Petition.

Social Media – Do you know any Social Media Influencers or You Tubers who would share the New Petition? Or would you be happy to contact them on behalf of the petition? You and The Influencer/You Tuber will be specially thanked for your kindness. Please let me know via my Instagram clairebearmelmel or email claireswain19@outlook.com

NICE does not have a regulatory body but is Overseen by the Department of Health and Social Care (Government Department). Myself, Tamara (Supporter of the Campaign), and Tor (Committee Member) have got the campaign's evidence & information sent to the department via our local MP with the updated Cover Letter and Paper Protest. I was dismissed and rejected numerous times at first. The more people that do this, the more the department will have to take notice. Even if you have already written to your Local MP. I advise you to contact them again with the updated Cover Letter and Paper Protest that can be downloaded via https://linktr.ee/clairechronicpain - Remember to please send me your MP's responses. The Good Law Project & Health Watch

Both organisations can support campaigns like ours. I do appreciate they have a lot of work from other groups that require help but if many of us contact them asking them for assistance (regards to this campaign); I am hoping they will assist us. I have contacted them several times but sadly no response from The Good Law Project and Health Watch Leicester told me that their Manager may contact me and they never did. There is power in numbers. Please use the following links to contact them.

Is anyone good with Design and or Digital Art?

I think it would be a good idea if we had a powerful image to portray the campaign whilst advertising the petition. I have very little knowledge of design and digital art etc. I wondered if anyone out there would be happy to help with this?

We need to join together to see Success! Thank you all for reading,
