Government/Parliament Petition
As most of you know I have submitted numerous applications for us to have a petition on the Government/Parliament website. Sadly they were all rejected. However, I submitted another application after speaking to them directly for advice (please see previous post for more information) and I am hoping we will have a most postive outcome in the next few days.
MP's & the Department of Health & Social Care.
NICE do not have a regulatory body but The Department of Health and Social Care (Government Department) over see them. My local MP denied helping our case at first and I have contacted her numerous times since. Brilliant news, she is now sending our campaign's information and evidence to the department. Tor (committee member) and Tamara (supporter of the campaign) has also achieved the same with their MP! - Fantastic work. The majority of us have been denied help from our MP (regarding this campaign) before. But I would urg you to try again (or for the first time) with the latest cover letter and updated paper protest which will be made available soon.
Change - This Platform
I am grateful to this platform (Change) to enable me to create this petition/campaign. Also to enable me to reach out to you all so we can become a team fighting for quality of life for those who suffer from Chronic Pain. For the past year I have had little to no problems with this platform. Yet, for over a week I have had many problems and I have been contact with customers services for over a week trying to sort it. My updates were being blocked and I have received an email from them today saying my account is being deleted. As I am sure you can imagine I am very upset about this as this would possibly end the campaign and a lot of our hard work would vanish. If they do go ahead with deleting me and my campaign - you can contact me on claireswain19@outlook.com & clairebearmelmel on Instagram to ensure the supporters stick together until I find some kind of alternative campaign/petition site etc.
The Committee
The 2nd committee meeting has been delayed till the 15th September due to lack of attendance. If anyone would like to join please email me on claireswain19@outlook.com
Update - it appears my updates have been unblocked which is great news - Thanks to Diego at Change Customer Services but I still don't know what's happening about my account sadly.
