The Jewish Labour Movement (JLM) has been affiliated to the Labour Party since 1920 - significantly this pre-dates the creation of the State of Israel. JLM is also affiliated to the World Zionist Organisation which supports the illegal expansion of settlements in the West Bank by the eviction of Palestinian residents and the bulldozing of houses. JLM's affiliation to the World Zionist Organisation is therefore tacit approval of this illegal activity. It is the contention of this petition that JLM's affiliation to the World Zionist Organisation means that it is no longer appropriate for it to be affiliated to the Labour Party and accordingly calls on the National Executive Committee of the party to disaffilliate the JLM from the Labour Party. .
