Justice of Hathras Rape Victim and family

The Issue

A 19 year old today, screams from heaven-

When the world Sleeps,

INDIA RAPES.

The night was same as it was for Nirbhaya, and again the humanity died in one corner, while we marched again with candles in our hands.

The Dalit teen was allegedly sexually attacked by four men on September 14 and referred on Monday to the Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi with spinal injuries, paralysis and cuts in her tongue. She died around 3 am on Tuesday.

The brutally allegedly raped girl in her last statement in the hospital recorded the name of four accused and stated that they raped her. Unfortunately the UP police failed to arrest.

On Wednesday, The cremation of  the victim was performed by the Uttar Pradesh Police around 2:30 AM, without handing over the body to the family or without their absolute consent and in their absence in the dead of night ,  raising doubts and resentment.

It is the most condemnable act the UP police have done. Under Article 21 and Article 25 of the Indian Constitution 1950, the right of respectful burial ceremony by the family is a fundamental right provided to each citizen, the police for no reason was anxious to perform the final rites, where no such right of cremation shall be performed by the police officers, without the will of family members. The funeral should be performed according to the customary religious rights as it is the right of a dead person. As per Hindu customs, no funeral can be performed after sunset, however the UP police claims the funeral was performed as per the religious rites.

It is the newest low. With each rape case we are falling more down and down and losing all the humanity.

We demand, urgent investigation on why the police was in such a dire need to cremate without family's consent.

A CBI inquiry to investigate the case.

The entire nation is mourning, I wish the girl sleeps early this time and does not wait for 7 years.
