I, the farmers of NZ and everyone involved want to see this man in jail for what he has done. 10 months home detention and 200 hours community work is not good enough. He has put our industry and economy at risk by his actions and we dont want him to get a slap on the hand. He needs jail time and not be allowed anywhere near animals. We as NZ farmers strive to make sure our animals are well taken care of and this man has destroyed what we work so hard to acheive! I think everyone will agree on this and we hope to correct his wrongs by doing what we do best, care for our animals. Why is this important? This is very important because this man needs to be made an example of! We do not accept this behaviour and we as farmers think it is disgusting! He has not received what he deserves and I think its shocking that the NZ govt has allowed him to get away with this with a slap on the hand. It is not on and we want to make an appeal, as a team, as farmers, as NZ citizens to show the world that we should not be put in the same basket as this disgraceful man.
