Currently, HB 280, the campus carry bill for Georgia, is awaiting Governor Nathan Deal's signature and could be signed into law at any moment. We need to send a clear response to Governor Deal that we are appreciative of his veto of last year's campus carry bill and want him to make the same decision on this year's campus carry bill. It is imperative that we continue to call Governor Deal's (and even Lieutenant Governor Casey Cagle's) office and express our opposition to HB 280. Additionally, students, faculty, and staff at UGA are holding another protest against campus carry a the UGA Arch in Athens on Monday, April 24th from 5:00pm-6:00pm.
