The Latest of Galilee RIDEM - Lighthouse Inn based on the Boston Globe Article that came out today. It would have been great if Brian Amaral interviewed Town Council President Jesse Pugh , Council Woman Dr. Ewa Dzwierzynski, members from the Friends of Galilee such as Sherry Carberry, the RI Attorney General's Office regarding the investigation opened up on my behalf. I am still waiting to receive a copy of the month-to-month lease that went out to PRIX. Please note in the below article it notes the cost for the lease is now 180,000. It shows you that Procaccianti Developers were and are making a killing in gross profits, and in their fight to keep the highly lucrative lease, they are still making a killing at the much higher annual lease. Heck, I would be willing to get together with 6 investors on this page and contribute 30,000 dollars a year to invest in a street level parking lot to make a great income, however, I DO NOT want a street level parking lot in the area. A street level parking lot WILL NOT HELP THE STATE, THE TOWN, OR OUR COMMERCIAL FISHERMEN. In addition, since the Town of Narragansett has NOT ISSUED a special use permit for parking in that area as it is zoned GB (Galilee Business) a street level parking lot should not even be operational now. Why is the RIDEM allowing Procaccianti to break all the rules in the book? Maybe it is because Procaccianti and Paolino are joint partners and they have over 10 billion in real estate investments. Deep pockets get you a lot of exceptions to the rules in Rhode Island. If it was you or I who violated the terms of our lease and created a hotel that now has toxins and asbestos coming out of its walls we would have been summoned to court, fined, and possibly imprisoned. The RIDEM is supposed to be a watchdog agency to go after people who cause harm to our environment, yet they failed to speak out against the illegal expansion of Champlin's Marina that will hurt The Great Salt Pond Ecosystem, and the RIDEM allowed Procaccianti-Paolino to abandon a hotel which has resulted in a toxic wasteland. When the 1990 lease Procaccianti - Paolino took out with the RIDEM it stated a hotel had to be maintained in that area, and the hotel had to me maintained.
