Bring Back Indonesian at Bundah 2019

Bring Back Indonesian at Bundah 2019
Why this petition matters
The decision to remove Indonesian as a subject from Narrabundah College in 2019 is deeply concerning, and opposes the belief in upholding the importance of Asian languages. Indonesian in particular is an increasingly vital language as relations between Australia and Indonesia continue to grow dynamically in various aspects. Whatever the reason, we believe that this decision is unfair and the school should remain committed to prioritise education over economics.
"I would like to believe that Narrabundah College, being the top public college in Canberra, would fight to preserve its remaining passionate and enthusiastic Indonesian speakers who can potentially strengthen the bilateral relationship between the two countries in the years to come. Even though there is only a handful of us left, this does not justify leaving our course only half completed.
I am very hopeful that an outcome will emerge where Indonesian is reintegrated into Narrabundah College's diverse range of class selection."

We kindly ask for support from our fellow students to encourage the return of such an important course.
