Why India became ignorant, poor and a colony?

India’s inefficiency that is what explains why India became ignorant, poor and a colony. The 3000 years of caste based reservation in education, army and business caused the inefficiency that Caste following Indian soldiers could not defend against foreign invasions - whereas countries like Israel and Russia defended itself against hostile armies. Countries such as Russia and Israel armed its citizens to defend their country irrespective of caste, while caste following Indians surrendered their kingdoms to the invading army, in exchange for keeping their titles and being their servants. At the time of Independence there were about 650 such princely states and almost the entire British Indian Army was made up of such enslaved Indians. It is a shame that they were ready to work for a foreign power, instead of Indians. Caste following Indian literates were ignorant. They were chanting mantras in the hope of divine intervention when the rest of the world was progressing with scientific discoveries and inventions. India was so ignorant and superstitious because education was limited to the privileged castes who divided society based on caste and limited the access to knowledge to Indians. They did not let rational thought emerge in the Indian subcontinent. Leaving India in the hands of these ignorant people is the reason why there were not inventions or discoveries from India for over 2000 years (till education spread) - India’s Dark Ages. Caste following Indian wealthy did not venture into seas in search of trade and new markets (read Kala pani (taboo)), while Europeans plundered the world and enriched themselves. India’s trade was decimated by the British. Greedy Indian business men did not participate in the Industrial Revolution, they were content to export raw materials, instead of making these products in India itself. India became poorest country in the world. The sheer stupidity of the caste following Indians is the reason why India from being the richest country became the hunting grounds for people looking for wealth. From Alexander to Mongols to British, they all knew how stupid and inefficient caste following Indians were. So yes, reservations that favored privileged castes causes inefficiency.
