Based on the precedent the Kinders have set with HISD, HSPVA is just the first school to be sold out. The image on this update is an October 13, 2016 email from Trustee Lunceford clearly stating the Kinders said “now or never” to the board on the day of the vote. The Houston Chronicle reported this in nicer terms (“the offer expires.”) Lunceford clarifies, “no vote no donation.” The email was obtained through a public information request.
