We recently held a productive meeting to advance our mission of honoring Torpedoman Second Class Henry Breault, the only enlisted submariner to receive the Medal of Honor. Our primary focus moving forward is to formally recommend the naming of a future U.S. Navy submarine in his honor.

To that end, we are preparing a package to submit directly to Secretary of the Navy John Phelan, presenting our case and the overwhelming support Henry Breault’s legacy has received. I think we have a great case to connect our mission to the Secretary of Defense's stated goal of nurturing the "Warrior Ethos," of the armed forces.
