Putnam, CT, the birthplace of Henry Breault
March 8th, 1200PM
Putnam's Veterans Park 127 Church St.
Shipmates, family and friends the town of Putnum is hosting Henry Breault Day and would like as many SubVets to join in the wreath laying ceremony honoring Medal of Honor recipient TM2(SS) Henry Breault! "The Mayor of Putnam, Barney Seney, will be presenting a proclamation officially making March 8th Henry Breault Day"
As many of you know historian and fellow SubVet member Ryan Walker has written a book titled The Silent Service’s First Hero: The First Submariner to Receive the Medal of Honor.
There is also a movement afoot to ask that a submarine get named after Breault.
So, come on out and support this event on March 8th at 1200 for the wreath-laying ceremony on the river and a rifle volley.
More about Henry Breault Day.
