Thank you supporting this petition to extend what really matters for young children beyond age 5!

Unfortunately the Government’s failed baseline test agenda is back YET AGAIN. Trials are over in chosen schools and yesterday ALL schools in England with YrR classes have received an invitation to try it out voluntarily from September before the compulsory roll out in September 2020.

From September children in reception could be tested upon entry to school in literacy and maths. The evidence shows it doesn’t work. It’s pointless, damaging and costing £10m. These could be your children, your nieces, nephews, grandchildren. Tested at 4 as part of a data exercise to measure schools.
