Keeping Early Years Unique

Nov 8, 2016
Hello everyone!
Absolutely blown away by the fact that we have had 1000 new supporters since Sunday evening. Your stories continue to inspire me to keep going! You may recall the report I referred to when we last spoke, which recommended reception classes becoming more like Year One. Well...I am pleased to say that today a response to this report was published. An open letter has been signed by a range of Early Year organisations, consultants, head teachers and practitioners...so basically the sort of real experts who should have been involved in the original report from the beginning. Read it here:

Although upon first reading the report seemed like a massive blow to early years education, it has in fact made us case even stronger, as it was written without any thought of all the research and theory that we know really matters.
I also wanted to let you know about these social media groups and campaigns that you can get involved with. Many are aimed at parents and carers... so please get involved!

Thanks so much everyone! It's exhausting battling against a political tide that has such little understanding of what REALLY matters...but to quote one of my favourite memes...
"Individually we are one drop...together we are an ocean"
Thank you to each and everyone of you, keep sharing, keep talking.. together we are stronger.
Warmest regards
Elaine
