Oreo Big Stuf was a variety of Oreo cookie sold from 1987 to 1991. What it essentially is is a large, individually wrapped Oreo. It is mostly forgotten now, but it is a very good idea that should have lasted. But, it's life was cut short because it was apparently too big for a snack, and it was hard to eat all of the creme inside before the cookies because of it's size. First of all, 250 calories is not a whole lot, and about 4 Oreos is considered a snack, and that is roughly the size of a Big Stuf. Second of all, licking off the creme first is actually really stupid. By licking the creme off, you get your saliva all over the cookie, and the creme tastes like crap on it's own anyway. Oreos should be eaten as if they were any other cookie, because the creme and chocolate mixed together actually compliment each other. Another reason that Big Stuf is a good idea is that they really are a good on the go snack. It's so convenient how you can just buy an individually wrapped snack and eat it on the go. It only requires one hand to hold a Big Stuf. But if you had several smaller Oreos, you would need two hands: One to hold the packet, and one to take out cookies. And if you're on the go anyway, why would you put in the extra effort to lick your cookies?So it wouldn't even matter anyways how easy it is to lick the creme of the Big Stuf Oreo. It is for these reasons that I believe, and you should too, that Oreo Big Stuf should make a comeback.
