Remove Jerry McAfee as president of the Minneapolis NAACP

The Issue

Article 10 in the NAACP bylaws states that 25 members must agree and sign off on an official complaint to take action against a particular NAACP official.

In this case, this campaign is to challenge the leadership of Jerry McAfee and Lisa Clemons of the Minneapolis NAACP.

I am citing the following evidence:

1. Jerry McAfee held the NAACP membership drive and elections in his church basement during a revival week at the church. His members were the majority of new NAACPer's and voters.

2. The NAACP state conference chairman W.C. Jordan had over 100 "announcements" returned by the postal service marked "undeliverable." The outreach and messaging for the election was flawed.

3. In the first NAACP board meeting, Jerry McAfee said in regards to the Minnesota Sports Facility Authority that $700k was not enough for Louis King and SAOIC and that his firm Salem, Inc. was active during the 2011 tornado recovery and we must develop companies to "go get that money."

4. There is not any written plan of action.

5. The Minneapolis NAACP is not acting in a nonpartisan mannor.

Please join me by clicking the JOIN tab. Out goal is to get 100 joins and file an official complaint with the national NAACP office in Baltimore, MD.
