After more than 2 years of waiting for a news, on December 25, 2020, we received news that Dr. Gulshan Abbas was sentenced in March of 2019 to 20 years in prison on terrorism-related charges and for “disturbing public order”, common false charges used to convict Uyghurs and other dissenting voices in secret, sham trials. This news was confirmed on December 31st by the Chinese Foreign Ministry.

Our fight continues. This information proves that a December 2019 piece published by Chinese Communist Party mouthpiece “Global Times” regarding Dr. Gulshan Abbas being made up was completely false, as at that point the regime had already sentenced her.
