One year ago, I started a petition asking Missouri Governor Jay Nixon to pardon my father, who has spent 21 years in prison for marijuana. Since then, 385,000 people have stood for my father’s freedom and signed our petition. But Governor Nixon still has not responded to our call. Which means that it’s time to take this campaign to the next level. We think that if we could reach 400,000 signatures, 2015 could be the year my father is set free. Will you help us hit our goal by sharing the petition? Share this Facebook post: http://buff.ly/1CbXQzS Tweet to Governor Nixon: http://buff.ly/1CN9y6Q Last night, there was a local news story about my dad. You can watch it here. The petition and all of your signatures are mentioned! http://www.abc17news.com/news/midmissouri-man-spending-life-in-prison-without-parole-for-pot-offenses/31193752 Without clemency from Governor Nixon, my dad will die in prison. And because of Governor Nixon’s inaction, the state of Missouri is forced to continue paying $22,000 per year to imprison a nonviolent, model inmate. It’s time to change that. Chris Mizanskey
