Petition updateClemency to Jeff Mizanskey: Life without parole for marijuanaParole hearing happened yesterday.

Yesterday, my dad had his hearing before the parole board. His lawyer Dan Viets was there and has put together a great write up of how it went. Here are a few highlights from Dan: • The three members of the Parole Board who presided over the hearing asked several questions. I was very encouraged by the fact that their primary concern seemed to be what Jeff’s plans are for his life if he is released from prison. • We presented to the Board several dozen letters from those family members and friends in support of Jeff’s release. • The Board seemed especially impressed with the fact that Jeff had undertaken rehabilitation programs long before he had any reason to believe that he would ever be eligible for release from prison. • The Board told us that we should expect a decision within six to eight weeks after the hearing on August 6. It is certainly possible that a decision could be announced sooner. So within eight weeks, my dad could have a final decision on him leaving prison. It's very exciting. But we're still trying to raise money to make his transition easier and we're far short of our goal. If can contribute anything, please do so here: http://www.gofundme.com/j0wjp0 You can read Dan's full update here: http://show-mecannabis.com/2015/08/jeff-mizanskey-parole-hearing-held/ Thank you, Chris
