On August 2, 2017, after an outpouring of concern and testimony from #MuteRKelly to the Fulton County Board of Commissioners, Chairman John Eaves and the Board voted UNANIMOUSLY to send a letter to Live Nation, to cancel the concert. However, LiveNation as made it clear that the concerns of tax payers and concerned citizens in Fulton County are not enough to make them choose public outrage over money. But we are not backing down. #MuteRKelly is COMMITTED to the movement and if after hearing from our concerned citizens and negotiations are not successful, we are committed to exercising our First Amendment Right and protest the concert on August 25th! We are no longer sitting silently and allowing money to trump morality! #MuteRKelly
