Despite pledging during his election campaign to co-operate with Poros Animal Welfare Society in order to prevent cases of mistreatment of the stray animals of the area, and to accept the responsibilities of the Municipality to vaccinate and neuter the stray animals, Mr Yiannis Dimitriades, the Mayor of Poros, has not carried out his promises. We are now 1 year further down the road, and still the Municipality has not been at all active concerning the welfare and other issues of the stray animals of the area. I request that the Mayor recognises and upholds the responsibilities of the Municipality of Poros regarding stray animals as stated under current Greek legislation, law number 4039/2012
