Trust me, when I say that I am always thinking of things to say on these updates.
My key objective is always: How can I move you to the past the point of reading this petition to really feeling it and being so moved that you act?
I find myself repeating myself, please sign, pass it on, complete the Survey Monkey and sadly sharing how government are not responding! I am sorry if I sound like a broken record, but it is precisely this that creates change and we cannot do it without voices, an army of like-minded voices too and especially those with real life experiences.
So, on Friday I am meeting with my MP, Rishi Sunak and regardless of your political views, I am meeting him to put this campaign right under his nose and will take with me the army of stories that are signing this petition. You matter and you have not been forgotten and the sea of grandchildren out there, wondering where is grandma/pa? We are doing this for you because no child should ever be removed from a safe and loving relationship.
We are getting closer to the goal and just as this week the child marriage law will change this week and gain Royal Assent, after years of campaigning, that marrying under 18 will become a criminal offence. I am holding onto our vision, a change in the law for grandparents and grandchildren, so that they are never abruptly taken out of each others lives.
