Human milk based nutrition is vital for preterm infants, and  currently the vast majority of hospitals simply cannot afford it. 

Human milk feeding in the NICU has been proven to reduce the risk of NEC, an often fatal and devastating gastrointestinal disease and the leading cause of death for preterm infants. 

My family started this milk bank to address the heartbreaking disparity of care caused by the high prices of human milk nutrition. We developed more affordable products that outperformed other products in clinical trials. We are poised to greatly improve access to human milk for all preemies.

The competition is trying to destroy us. 

The suffering is immeasurable for families, their babies, and the clinicians in the NICU. And we can make a difference. 

Stories like this one from a parent on the NEC Society website happen EVERY DAY, “It was at this new hospital that we learned about a human milk based fortifier, Prolacta. We also learned that our original hospital didn’t offer Prolacta because it was “too expensive.” I will always feel that a human milk based fortifier would have greatly reduced our son’s chance of developing NEC.”
