Thank you all for signing. We now have about 2,000 signatures and the petition has been picked up by local media. I was on the air with Greg Mocker of Channel 11 last night promoting the petition, now that the MTA has announced reactivating the Bus Network Redesign studies this fall that had been halted due to Covid.

Now is the time to double our efforts. Please share the broadcast and petition link on social media and with your friends. Together is the only way we will get the MTA to rethink their plans to eliminate more than half of our bus stops.

Their promise of increased frequencies due to reduced route coverage will not be kept. When ridership further declines because riders find it too difficult to access bus routes, the increased frequencies will return to their current levels and then decline even further along with reduced coverage, as car ownership and use of ride sharing services continue to rise increasing traffic congestion which is not what we want.
