The Louisville Food Truck Association has reached out and agreed that  Mt Washington’s food truck ordinance is improperly written. Recently, the group has gone through litigation with the City of Louisville, over similar restrictions and regulations found within MtWashington’s ordinance AND WON.

Our petition specifically targets the ordinance’s alternative to a food truck license for local events. If an HOA invites a vendor to their clubhouse to support an event, a permit is NOT required, as is written.

The Louisville Food Truck Association is taking it one step further and their findings will help support the operations of the traditional, Mt Washington owned, trucks. Those guys we love who have paid for their permits because they operate publicly.  They face restrictions that are unconstitutional and have been struck down all around the country, even in Louisville. Specifically in regards to the proximity restrictions imposed on where theses vender’s can set up shop. The association is handling their findings outside of this petition, through other means. But this only further supports how poorly interpreted and written this ordinance is.
