Dear Friends,

The long battle for the Katyn Memorial has come to the end and in the final vote last night all eight council members present, unanimously voted to adopt an ordinance that orders the Katyn monument to remain at Exchange Place “in perpetuity.” Victory!

It was a huge blow initially to the Polish community but fast and strong reaction initialized by attorney Slawomir Plata developed into an amazing bond between Jersey City communities.

“This has been disgraceful for Jersey City in many ways” - said Rolando Lavarro. 
Obviously, Mayor Fulop seriously underestimated the sense of Jersey City's community, the respect they have for each other, their culture and their history. 

It is the greatest pleasure to say THANK YOU to all who signed the petition for the continued support, great comments and for your personal involvement.

It is the greatest pleasure to say THANK YOU to all Jersey City communities represented by different cultures, different religions yet united by the respect and love to their own town.

It is the greatest pleasure to say THANK YOU to attorney Slawomir Plata and the Polish-American community, especially from New Jersey, Philadelphia, Connecticut and Pennsylvania.
