Petition updateKeep Katyn memorial in Jersey CityHelp us to keep Katyn statue in its rightful place!
Stop Act H.R. 1226

Jul 25, 2018
As you might already be aware, a group opposed to moving the statue from its Exchange Place home, delivered on 3 July 2018 a petition to City Clerk Robert Byrne seeking to overturn a June 13 ordinance that authorized moving the monument one block south. The petition has nearly 10,000 signatures.
Unfortunately, out of 6,714 signatures needed from valid Jersey City voters, only 3,833 were approved.
There's still 8 days as from today to collect the remaining 2881 signatures in order to carry out the referendum.
Therefore we call upon those who care about the statue and New Jersey communities to help with the collection of the remaining signatures.
Attorney Slawek Platta, the main organizer, is looking for the volunteers. Any volunteers to collect signatures please contact AttorneyPlatta via text on 646-932-6656 stating your name and phone number.
If any of you hasn't signed the petition calling for the referendum yet, please kindly do so. Text Attorney Platta to find out where and how to sign the petition list.
Also, contact your relatives or friends to let them know about it.
PLEASE REMEMBER! - It is ESSENTIAL that ONLY registered residents entitled to vote in Jersey City can provide a valid signature.
We would like to thank you for your constant support. Let's do it together and stop Mayor Fulop's arbitrary acts.
