This is to urge the citizens of our great nation in all it's glory to stop the burning of fireworks on Diwali. The money spent on fireworks each year could feed thousands of homeless and people in need for a year. The pollution caused by fireworks on diwali is causing respiratory problems in kids as well as adults not to mention depletion of ozone layer which is the major cause of global warming. Also what of the state of the poor animals who are homeless and on the streets scavenging for food just to survive? Imagine how harsh it must feel to these poor animals ears and noses who have better sense of smell and hearing than us humans. How horrifying it must be for them. Diwali is a Festival of Lights last I heard, lord Ram was not welcomed with the sounds of crackers upon his return but to the serene lights of diyas. Then why is it that must we desecrate the original tradition which was followed then and cause air pollution, noise pollution, global warming, health problems, loss of life, loss of property, animal cruelty, wastage of money which could potentially feed thousands in need. If not for the starving people think of your own children who you teach to burst crackers, he or she could get seriously burned while doing it or develop problems like asthma or chronic bronchitis and other respiratory problems. The children of the country are the future of the country, and it is our duty to protect them at all costs. We are a great nation and to maintain all it's glory, and not make it a wasteland in a few years, all citizens and non citizens are urged to sign this petition to ban all fireworks in india or to make laws in regulation of their usage.
