This update primarily goes out to all the supporters of this petition who are local to Great Valley High School. If you managed to see the 6 ABC news report than you would have heard the the final resolve was to call the day Celebrate Your Country Day. MANY have felt as though this was administration at Great Valley playing word games and, in effect, changing nothing. I began this petition and my contact of the school to bring America Day. I am not in direct contact with the student council who apparently met with the principal to agree on Celebrate Your Country Day. I can make the choice to continue to fight for the right to have America Day reinstated but I need those who are in student council to let me know if they wish to do this or simply allow the Celebrate Your Country Day to happen and move on, having made a statement. Again, I can start a petition (which now has almost 900 signatures), blast facebook and email, contact the school, and get on local news but I can not contradict a choice mutually made between the student council and the principal. I can end the campaign now with Celebrate Your Country Day or continue to demand America Day back, but I need those inside the school who wish to do that to contact me.
