We made the paper! Mr. Blanton has disputed what he feels are many misconceptions by the employees of the University. Apparently he feels we do not understand how the money we are paying is being used. Please do not lose sight of what we are asking for here. We do not want free parking. We are not asking to pay nothing. We are not asking for our names on a parking spot. What we are asking for is parking that reflects what we pay. $444 a year should give us guaranteed parking close to our place of work without having to compete with students on any given day. Students should not have the option to purchase an E permit unless they work at least 20 hours for the University. At the very least we deserve these fees to be reviewed and we, as employees, deserve to be heard and be involved in the decision-making process. Keep up the good work, guys. Let them know that one misleading interview in the Herald Leader will not be enough to silence the unrest!
