On June 16th, 2014, Vatican radio quoted Your Holiness as saying:

"If we talk of politically or economically corrupt people, who pays? The hospitals without medicine, the patients who did not receive care, the children without education."

Your Holiness recently received President Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe, President Eduardo dos Santos of Angola, President Obiang Nguema of Equatorial Guinea, President Paul Biya of Cameroon, and President Sassou Nguesso of the Republic of Congo. These five presidents have beaten all international records for longevity in power. To do this, they have built oligarchies which pillage resources, kill innocents, rape women, torture opponents and defenders of human rights. These oligarchies also corrupt institutions, pervert their people wishes during rigged elections, and divide populations by sowing hate, provoking uprisings or civil wars.

In 'Biens mal acquis, à qui profite le crime?'[Ill-gotten Gains, Who Benefits from this Crime?],the Catholic Committee Against Hunger and for Development, CCFD-Terre Solidaire, reported on theoverseas property and assets diverted abroad by many dictators to the detriment of their people. The aforementioned presidents received by Your Holiness well deserve their place in this report.

By receiving them, Your Holiness serves to legitimise them in the eyes of their people, who, often, have no other source of information aside from the state owned or controlled media.

We beg Your Holiness to excommunicate these African leaders, as Your Holiness recently did with members of the Mafia.
