Welcome to the reveal of the penultimate Wave of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass, Mario Karters! Prepare to once again start your engines... 'cause on July 12th of 2023, things in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe are gonna get hot, hot hot, as well as wet 'n' wild! Yeah-heah-heah! ^v^

3 Tour City Tracks once again, 1 GBA Track once again, 1 GCN Track once again, AND.... a shock that left people speechless... Two Wii tracks in the same Wave, like Rock Rock Mountain and 3DS Rainbow Road in Wave 3.

As you all probably noticed in all social media, we've got our full reveal of Wave 5 of the Booster Course Pass. We already know Petey Pirahna, Kamek, and Wiggler will be our next 3 upcoming racers & one of the upcoming tracks; but thanks to the trailer below, we got an idea of how the tracks for Wave 5 are sorted out.

Starting Wave 5 off will be the Feather Cup, which, in order, consists of...

- Tour Athens Dash (in relation to feathers, as people keep bringing up)

- GCN Daisy Cruiser (fitting for the Summer Season)

- Wii Moonview Highway (precisely why people are shocked to see TWO Wii tracks in Wave 5)

- Squeaky Clean Sprint (we already know)

And in the Cherry Cup to close off Wave 5, its track order is...

- Tour Los Angeles Laps (Another fitting track for the summer)

- GBA Sunset Wilds (the "hot cousin" to GBA Snow Land in Wave 2; hope we still transition from sunset to night)

- Wii Koopa Cape (A lot of people expected this one, but didn't expect Moonview Highway to come with it; sadly no zappers in the underwater section)

- Tour Vancouver Velocity (kinda ironic, as its more Autumn and Winter mixed together, something you'd expect for Vancouver Velocity to be in Wave 6)

Now a more in-depth sneak peek of each track and their music, courtesy of GameXplain.

On top of everything I've just said, on the very same day, we also got a teaser of our next Tour for Mario Kart Tour, as well as the reveal of the new Nitro / Non-City Track that will be featured within it - a track reminiscent to 3DS Pirahna Plant Slide, but putting more emphasis on Pipes rather than strictly Pirahna Plants, festuring 360 degree diameter pipe tunnels caked with spider webs / cob webs; roller coaster like section with half-pipe jumps; and multiple routes, some dryer or wetter than others depending on what route you choose.

Anyway, back to Wave 5 of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, it appears that it only not shocks people by completely invalidating what some had assumed, especially when it came to information that was NOT supposed to be revealed to the public prematurely (a topic I've been trying to refrain from being explained in larger detail, and STILL will refrain from doing so)...

But it basically confirms that characters are NOT tied to any courses at all.

Yes, despite people assuming that Birdo is tied with the Yoshi's Island course, the same cannot be said for Petey Pirahna, Wiggler, and Kamek, for the latter 3 characters are not tied to any of the tracks revealed for Wave 5 (despite people assuming Petey Pirahna would be tied to any Pirahna Plant-themed tracks, particularly Pirahna Plant Cove; Wiggler would be tied to GCN Mushroom Bridge based on its appearance in the Mario Kart DS Mission Mode; and Kamek would be tied to SNES Bowser Castle 3 due to the aforementioned track's overhaul in Tour AND Kamek being one of Bowser's most loyal followers).

This means that ANY character, especially ones who've been playable in the Mario Kart series (INCLUDING characters from Mario Kart Tour), with my top hope being the 1up Girl: Pauline, have an equal shot at being chosen as one of the two remaining upcoming new racers for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe via Wave 6 of the Booster Course Pass.

But regardless of what has happened, I'm sure we're all gonna have a Summer Splash of a Mario Kart Wave when Wave 5 of the Booster Course Pass arrives to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe next Wednesday - July 12th of 2023.

Let's hope Nintendo takes notice of our desires, and add in more than just characters and tracks when Wave 5 & 6 of the Booster Course Pass come, maybe things like more vehicles like Wild Wing, more wheels / tires & gliders, more power-ups, and more.

Until then, let's prepare & get ready to make some splashes and burn some rubber!
