At last, we've reached the week of Mario Kart's 30th Anniversary.
As of today, the week started 2 days ago on the 22nd of August 2022, and we're now on the 3rd day of the Anniversary Week - the 24th of August 2022, meaning 3 days until we reach the exact day of Mario Kart's 30th Anniversary - the 27th of August 2022.
But so far, it seems nothing for Mario Kart has happened, at least not yet.
If the week & exact day of Mario Kart's 30th Anniversary ends up having nothing else, it'll certainly be a HUGE missed opportunity that Nintendo did NOT balance out Mario Kart 8 Deluxe's 96 tracks (48 in Base Game + 48 from Booster Course Pass DLC) by adding in the following content to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe...
More characters like Pauline...
More Vehicles like Wild Wing...
More Wheels & Gliders...
More Power-Ups like the Mega Mushroom & Ice Flower...
And other additional content like a Mirrored version of the 200cc Speed Class.
HOWEVER....
Even if Nintendo doesn't do anything for Mario Kart's 30th Anniversary or add addtional content to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (other than the Booster Course Pass DLC) to celebrate said anniversary, there's still plenty of time until the end of 2023 for Nintendo to balance the additional tracks by adding the aforementioned additional content above. This can happen in various alternate ways, like...
1.) When there comes a time when Mario Kart Tour discontinues like Dr. Mario World did, Nintendo should & needs to add all (or at least the majority) of Mario Kart Tour's characters, vehicles, wheels, gliders, power-ups, & other content into Mario Kart 8 Deluxe to preserve Tour's content. Additional content from other Mario Kart games other than Mario Kart Tour, such as the Super Pipe Frame, can also be added into Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
Or 2.) Nintendo should add the additional characters, vehicles, wheels, gliders, power-ups, & other content into Mario Kart 8 Deluxe when the Booster Course Pass ends at the end of 2023.
But as always, we need to spread the word on this to everyone in every way we can, so even if Mario Kart's 30th Anniversary passes & nothing much happens, it's best for us to keep spreading the word & never give up.
So my petition will still be up for anyone to sign & share, so that there's still one way available for us to continue spreading the word to everyone, especially to Nintendo, on why Mario Kart 8 Deluxe needs more characters, vehicles, wheels, gliders, power-ups, & other content to balance with the eventual 96 total tracks.
