Please help me spread the word.

We all know the appetite is there and frankly, if I can spend $38 of my money to get a t-shirt printed and look a little weird (see picture), I think you can entice a few friends to get on board this cause.

What will it mean to get these courts built?

  1. Access to local courts to play basketball games. At the moment we have odd courts scattered across Moonee Valley which can only be used to train. We cannot play at these venues as they don't meet the standard with the exception of 1-2 courts tucked into the most highly inaccessible locations.
  2. The ability to run programs locally. My daughter is about to start playing U8's but this will need to be at Broadmeadows as we cannot get this option locally.
  3. Families able to attend their kids games on a Saturday morning locally instead of having to divide and conquer into North-western parts of Melbourne. This also reduces petrol costs and we then shop locally of a Saturday morning too.

We are not asking for anything extra. The state basketball centre in Wantirna is just about to be extended to 18 courts. Most municipalities across the state have very good access to basketball / netball, etc. We don't.

These are massive participation sports.

I am certainly not happy waiting any longer.
