Hello Montgomery County Residents,
Thanks so much to each of you who have signed the CCCFH petition and helped circulate it to your friends, neighbors and members of your community. All reports indicate it is having an impact, and it is vitally important that we continue our efforts, even as we reach and exceed 2,000 signatures.
When we started this petition drive in late August, many people were just returning from vacation and preparing for the start of school. Now that we are into Fall, the public is becoming more aware of Thrive 2050 and the potential impact it will have on the County's residential communities.
The pandemic has created some obstacles in getting the message out and educating folks on the ramifications Thrive 2050 will have. Unlike years past, we have been unable to hold in-person meetings and get out to neighborhood shopping centers where local citizens would be available to pass out information, answer questions and have the petition available to be signed in person. Instead, we have to rely on virtual dissemination of information and each of you to get the word out this way. So, it is important that you double your efforts and urge your community members to sign and spread the word by email.
If anyone is seeking more information about Thrive 2050, CCCFH has a lot of information posted on its website located at https://www.cccfhmd.org/thrive-plan. It is a great source for people looking to understand a number of the significant issues Thrive raises.

Thanks for staying on top of this important issue. Please continue to send the petition to any community groups or individuals who share your concerns about the future of the County, so that their voices as well as yours are heard.
Stay safe and well.
Thank you,
CCCFH
