The petition surpassed 1,000 signatures!

Many thanks to each of you for your commitment to inclusivity in our county, as the Council considers the Thrive Plan and the Planning Board and staff draft the Attainable Housing Strategies initiative, and subsequent zoning text amendments (ZTA’s) to implement components. An additional thank you to those that helped boost the petition through the Change website.

If each of us secures 5 more signatures, we’ll reach 5,000 ahead of the upcoming Planning Board Work Session on Thursday, September 9th. Let’s make sure the county officials understand that more work needs to be done to ensure that all communities and neighborhoods are represented.

Some residents find these proposed changes hard to believe, but it's real. Take a look at this just-released report from the County Planning Staff for their meeting this Thursday:
