Attached is a copy of the Referral that was submitted by Supervisor Phillips regarding possible amendment to the noise ordinance. This referral is set to be reviewed in one month. Hopefully this will help fix the improper wording in the ordinance and push for actual enforcement of the noise ordinance.
(one comment is this referral is not accurate. It states the following, "a higher that average number of noise complaints has arisen this summer and seems to be heightened due to more people celebrating as safety concerns due the COIVD-19 pandemic are lifted." FALSE! It has progressively gotten this bad over the course of 8+ years solely due to improper wording in the ordinance AND due to zero enforcement by the Sheriff's Department. It only seems like it is more now because we have a year and a half of actual peace in our towns.
