On September 7, 2018, the world lost an icon when Malcolm McCormick better know as Mac Miller passed away unexpectedly. He was a role model and the voice of a generation. Miller was a generous supporter of the make a wish foundation and advocate for children's health. It was drugs that cut Mr. McCormick's life short at the age of 26. Drugs are very prevalent at Montana State University and many college students are not aware of the potential consequences. Renaming The Miller dining hall to "The Mac Miller Dining Hall" in honor of Mac Miller would serve as a reminder to the Montana State community that drugs can take down anyone including the titan among men Mac Miller. The dining hall would be a memorial to Mac, honoring his life and charitable work while also communicating to the entire MSU community that no one is invulnerable when it comes to drugs.
